Ezitrack has released a vehicle protection and tracking system giving vehicle, plant and machinery owners personalised, self monitoring of their vehicle.
The early warning anti-theft device is interactive and has no monthly or annual monitoring fees.
The device is half the size of previous models, measuring 80 mm x 61 mm x 35 mm.
The outer casing has a low sheen black finish, and an internal vibration sensor.
The unit comes standard with an internal trickle-charged backup NIMH battery and an internal phone module that is compatible with all phone networks.
The device offers remote immobilisation capability when the ignition is off. This complies with the relevant Australian and international standards for vehicles. It has an internal black box recorder logging speed, position, time and date from 1 to 255 hours, as often as once per second.
The device can email the contents of the black box to a private inbox where the information can be downloaded and played back on a PC moving map display.
Interaction with the device is typically done by selecting menu options over the phone (mobile phone or landline). This menu allows users to remotely immobilise the engine, lock and unlock the doors and obtain a status report including location to within 6 m.
