The ExpressCheck Oral Fluid Drug Screen is a sensitive 6-drug screen used for the detection of illicit substances in human saliva.
The drug classes are identical to those detected in the 6-panel urine drug screens and include Amphetamines, Benzodiazepines, Cocaine, Methamphetamines, Opiates and THC.
The ExpressCheck Oral Fluid Drug Screen meets or exceeds the cut-offs outlined in the Australian Standard (AS4760:2006).
Oral fluid drug testing offers some advantages over urine testing:
It’s less invasive.
It can be performed virtually anywhere.
Samples cannot be adulterated or substituted. ·
Samples can always be collected and recollected if required.
A non-negative result suggests an employee was likely to be impaired at the time of the test. However, there are some misperceptions in the marketplace about oral fluid testing:
It is affordable, no more than 10 — 20% more expensive than urine testing (onsite devices only).
It’s (now) accurate and reliable.
Confirmation testing can now be performed by an accredited laboratory.
Confirmation kits are now available from Royal Medical Supplies.
