Kinder and Co. has released the K-MotorShield for electric drive motors on bulk handling equipment
The motor covers have been designed to increase air flow while protecting the motors for debris and particles.
Constructed in a durable, lightweight, snap on design the covers improve heat transfer efficiency of the cooling fins resulting in more heat being drawn off the motor, allowing an increase of up to 140% in airflow through the fins.
The covers are built from materials that do not corrode or rust and are able to withstand the heavy duty nature of bulk materials handling applications and prevent environmental debris and particles from destroying bearings, windings and brushes on drive motors.
The K-MotorShield also reduces maintenance by ensuring motor life through the reduction of bearing and winding temperatures and wear.
Vertical Motor drop guards are also available to shield the air intake of vertically mounted motors against debris, water and slurry.
The covers come in stock motor sizes for fitment on all IEC and NEMA Frame sizes.
