Industrial safety

  • Published: 27/08/2008

Dingo Industrial, a new business unit of Dingo Australia, will showcase solutions to safety issues in mining and industrial applications on Stand 4030 during the 2008 Goldfields Mining Expo (GME).

The division has been established in recognition of the growing above-and-below ground presence of Dingo mini-loaders at mine and mineral processing sites in Australia, South Africa, New Zealand and South East Asia.

The company offers machinery and support that is a safe and productive alternative for hazardous cleanup work that is normally undertaken manually with a shovel in difficult-to-reach areas.

“We realise that mine sites, processing plants, power stations and other industrial sites have special safety considerations that are often tough on machinery, so a standard landscaping machine just won’t cut it,” Dingo Industrial’s Brendan McDonald said.

“The company’s machines are well-suited to narrow access cleanup work, as they measure as little as 780 mm in width,” he said.

The company offers a range of special attachments such as a debris puller that can rake underneath conveyors and difficult-to-reach places.
