Cat has released the 336D L Hydraulic Excavator which provides greater performance than the previous C-series model.
With additional guarding for demolition and heavy duty applications, the 336D L provides more engine power and hydraulic pressure than the C-Series model.
This allows for increased breakout force as well as greater lift force, which creates faster cycle times.
The heavy lift circuit is now standard on all D-series models, which provides boosted hydraulic pressure for increased lift.
The excavator has a maximum operating weight of 37 631 kilograms and a net power of 200 kW.
It is powered by a Cat C9 engine which employs a hydraulically driven fan controlled by an electronic control module.
The 336D L can be equipped with triple grouser track shoes for long wear and solid traction, and has track guards for the sprocket end and idler end which are fitted to protect the entire length of the track
Additional rubber bumpers attached to the excavator’s sides further reduce inadvertent damage.
The excavator’s updated cab guarding includes full length wire mesh window covers as well as a falling object guarding system.
The D-series also has the option of a Tool Control System which allows operators to set auxiliary hydraulics flows and pressures by using the monitor in the cab, with the ability to set as many as 10 flow and pressure settings.
