Honeywell software enhancements

  • Published: 19/06/2009

Honeywell has announced two key enhancements to its UniSim Design simulation software that are designed to provide engineers a greater range of tools to build and test plant processes.

Honeywell’s simulation and modelling software will include a flare analyser that enables process engineers to design, improve and optimise industrial flare systems.

UniSim Design will also now support XML-based case portability to allow users to share process design information with ASPEN HYSYS, HTFS and HTFS+ offered by AspenTech.

The UniSim Design’s flare analyser is designed to allow users to create more-complete models of their processes and further improve overall plant efficiency.

Honeywell says the UniSim Design’s interactive software allows engineers to create and analyse both steady-state and dynamic models for plant design, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, operational improvement, business planning and asset management.

UniSim Design’s case-portability feature allows greater flexibility by enabling Honeywell and AspenTech simulation users to access each other’s process models.
