Fire detection systems

  • Published: 26/06/2008

Chubb Fire Safety will showcase on stand 2064 at QME 2008 the next generation of fire detection and suppression technology.

Products on display will include the company’s pre-engineered foam spray vehicle system used in the mining industry to protect mobile and transportable equipment.

The system was the first AS5062-compliant fire protection system listed on the CSIRO’s ActivFire Register of Fire Protection Equipment.

Also on display will be one of the company’s digital video smoke detection (VSD) systems which is based on an Internet Protocol (IP) platform and can be monitored and upgraded via the World Wide Web. It is currently used in facilities such as network cable tunnels, road tunnels and power stations.

The company will showcase its aspirating fire detection system designed to give very early indication of an incipient fire condition and the hydraulic rescue tools and equipment used in various emergency situations by emergency services and rescue teams.
