Becker NCS will display electrical, dewatering and communication products suited to Australian mining conditions on Stand 1119 during the 2008 Goldfields Mining Expo (GME).
The company is the Australian subsidiary of German-based Becker Mining Systems which has offices in Kalgoorlie, Perth, Townsville and Newcastle.
The company’s range of electrical equipment, which is manufactured in Australia, ranges from fan starters to sub-stations and is enhanced by labour hire, equipment hire and project management.
The Becker group is also the OEM of all of these products so clients have the comfort of dealing with one responsible entity.
The company will also display its Minetuff range of submersible dewatering pumps which are specifically designed and manufactured for Australian mining conditions.
The range has three models, the 8 kw-HH, 20 kw-HH and the 37 kw-HH, with a fourth model, the 5 kw-HH to be introduced later this year.
Communications technologies, including UHF and VHF leaky feeder radio communications for hard rock mines, will be another highlight at the stand, as will the company’s wireless LAN technologies.
The company will also feature telemetry solutions for ventilation, pump and borefield control and monitoring over a number of communication mediums including fibre optic, wireless LAN and radio frequencies
The company will also display tagging and tracking equipment for the real-time location of people, vehicles and assets, and a decline traffic information system which advises decline vehicle users of the next two approaching vehicles.
Becker will also showcase a collision avoidance system which alerts drivers of large vehicles to nearby vehicles or personnel.
