APS Lighting & Safety shining new LED technology

  • Published: 17/08/2009

APS Lighting & Safety will unveil a new generation of mine & industrial lighting that uses LED technology on Stand 2090 at the 2009 NSW Mining & Energy (M&E) exhibition at the Muswellbrook Showground from September 22-24.

The A520 series 3000 lumen scene lights have a heavy-duty casing with an anti-vibration, interlocking side mount designed to withstand the toughest of conditions while supplying maximum light with a wide beam pattern.

APS’s LED lighting range also includes vehicle and access lighting.

In addition, APS will feature the JW Speaker Corporation’s A735 LED work lamp, which puts out 1000 lumens, on its M&E stand.

“This unit will outlast any halogen or High Intensity Discharge (HID) while only drawing 1A on a 24VDC input,” APS Australia manager Steve Satherley said.

Available in three beam patterns, the A735 has been trialled in rugged mining applications and is being standardised as forward lighting for heavy equipment, as access area lighting on stairs and engine compartments, and as vehicle perimeter lighting.

Another feature of APS’s M&E display will be its range of Preco RotoLED warning lights.
