A COMPANY that manufactures hand held water monitoring equipment has released the YSI 556 MPS handheld multi-probe water quality monitor system that can be used in groundwater and surface water.

The product has a waterproof impact-resistant case, and is said to simultaneously measure dissolved oxygen, pH, conductivity, and temperature.

The product will log over 49,000 data sets with time, date, and site name. Up to 99 site names can be stored.

All stored data can be downloaded to a computer with free software.

The YSI 556 can fit into a two inch well for in-situ monitoring. An optional flow-through cell screws onto the product for use in pumped or purged applications.
