Vector drives

A DRIVE manufacturer has released a series of selectable vector drives for industrial process applications.

The drives combine hardware design with the flexibility of configuration-based software control for variable speed applications.

The series includes an electable vector control function including sensor-less control, sensor-less field oriented control and a field-oriented control, with encoder.

The drives have an overload capacity of 150% for 60 seconds and 200% for 1 second, with a switching frequency of 2 kHz to 16 kHz.

The series includes IP20 enclosure and EMC filter integrated up to 9.2 kW. Standard hardware features include integrated dynamic braking module, and DC link connection.

The unit has a standard encoder interface, motor temperature monitor, and 3 kW plug-in power terminals.

The drives feature plug-in and programmable control terminals, six digital inputs, a multifunction input, a digital and multifunction output, and a relay output.
