A trade skills institute has come up with a unique solution to Australia’s skills shortage problem.

The Institute for Trade Skills Excellence (ITSE) has launched SkillsOne Television on the Aurora Community Channel.

The weekly block of programs is presented as a branded channel and full broadband website featuring videos, rich content and resources.

Programming begins at 2pm Saturday 28 July, and is integrated with the SkillsOne website.

SkillsOne television will feature programming that focuses on passionate workers, exciting career opportunities, and the skills in high-demand in the 21st century, according to ITSE CEO Brian Wexham.

ITSE has been established to promote and advance learning, teaching and training in Australian trades education and elevate the status of traditional trades and trades education as career choices.

The Institute is funded by the Federal Government and led by The Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry; the National Farmers’ Federation; and the Australian Industry Group.

The ITSE has been established to promote and advance learning, teaching and training in Australian trades education.
