A SAFETY body has released a Serious Accidents and High Potential Incidents Report.

The Queensland Department of Mines and Energy report outlines electrical, thermal, explosion, mechanical and gravity related safety incidents in Queensland mines from 16 to 31 July 2007.

Loss of vehicle control appears to be the biggest safety concern in Queensland mines, with eight separate incidents involving loss of vehicle control reported.

Vehicles involved in loss of control incidents included a semi-trailer water truck, rear dump trucks, graders, dozers, and loaders.
