THE NSW Department of Primary Industries (DPI) has released a safety bulletin urging workers to be more cautious in the workplace.

According to the DPI, even with advancements in remote control technology accidents continue to occur.

The DPI has suggested relevant risk assessment be undertaken and safe operating procedures be developed. It has also asked that a formal audit of remote control equipment operations be undertaken.

The DPI has recommended that training systems for inexperienced personnel be reviewed to ensure competency.
