ENGINEERS and scientists in Queensland have created blogs and You Tube videos to increase interest in the profession.

The professions are using the Internet to form their own cyberspace community attracting young engineers and scientists.

A website has been launched to encourage more young people to pursue science and engineering careers.

A global communications company was hired to design the website, hosted by the Queensland Resources Council (QRC).

Drilling.com.au allows visitors to contribute video content, post comments, and engage in chat sessions.

The blogs are maintained by QRC’s Scholarship Student ambassadors.
