Pro-Visual Publishing has released its Mining Industry Guide to Workplace Safety 2010, the latest edition in its series of health and safety wall-charts.
According to the company, the chart includes the new national streamlined occupational health and safety laws, which are due for implementation shortly.
The guide aims to help both employers and employees prepare for the changes, the publisher said.
The National Mine Safety Framework (NMSF) is an initiative of the Ministerial Council on Mineral and Petroleum Resources, which aims to achieve a cohesive occupational health and safety regime for the entire Australian mining industry.
According to the company, the chart explains the reasons for the changes and describes the seven strategies making up the new legislation.
“The guides are a proven, solid approach to attracting the attention of personnel, as well as educating and motivating them to meet higher standards in the workplace and within the community,” the publisher said.
“Similarly, the charts provide an easy and informative way for businesses to ensure that vital health and safety information is highly visible and readily available to all employees.

The Minerals Industry Safety and Health Centre said the guide is an easily-accessible safety resource for members of the mining industry.
"This year's chart provides valuable, up-to-date information regarding proximity detection, mining safety and health laws, musculoskeletal disorders, noise levels as well as health management plans,” said Professor David Cliff of the Safety and Health Centre.
The guide will be distributed to all mining and mining contractor companies and will reach all active minesites across the country.
Additional copies are available and all guides are produced and distributed without cost thanks to sponsorship.
