Lihir to de-list from TSX

Lihir Gold has announced that it will de-list from the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) due to a low take up of shares.

After listing on the TSX less than three years ago, the miner has stated that it will stop trading on the exchange after 12 July.

Lihir gave share holders of the Canadian listed entity the option of transferring their holdings to the NASDAQ or Australian register.

The miner listed on the TSX in 2007, at the urging of Canadian fund managers, during the mining boom.
