AMPCONTROL will be exhibiting their new IEC Ex ia Group 1 Intrinsically Safe Ethernet Switch and Protocol Converter on Stand 916 at AIMEX 2007.

The new system uses a fully managed, Ethernet-based communications protocol over multi-or single-mode fibre optic cables, along with a protocol-insensitive IEC Ex ia Group 1 Serial-to-Ethernet (UDP & TCP/IP) Protocol Converter.

This facilitates the integration of a number of existing and future Ethernet-enabled devices such as VoIP phones, Web cameras, PDAs, fixed and wireless sensors.

In addition, Ampcontrol’s Power, Electronics and Service divisions will display a range of protection relays, gas sensing, communications and monitoring and control equipment at AIMEX.
