Mining requires moving large quantities of material under adverse conditions that result in a significant number of injuries.

This feature will examine the root causes of accidents during movement of materials, redesigning and developing equipment, and modifying work practices, and how they can be avoided.

This issue will also look at the latest in conveyor technology and conveyor maintenance.

Key players will be interviewed and the longevity of the bulk materials handling industry will be reviewed.
