Sourcing
Company news is built primarily from ASX announcements, official company statements, investor presentations, and public regulatory filings. Where a story relies substantially on a single company release, we say so rather than presenting it as independently verified reporting.
Market and commodity price information is drawn from publicly available data. Where we quote figures from a third party (an analyst note, a government agency, or another publication), we name the source.
Independence and Sponsored Content
Mining Australia accepts sponsored features, company profiles, and paid placements from mining and exploration companies and their advisers. Any content that a company or third party has paid for is labelled as a sponsored feature, special feature, or similar, and is kept editorially separate from our regular news coverage.
Advertising or sponsorship relationships do not influence how we report news about a company. If we cover a sponsor negatively, that coverage runs regardless.
Corrections
If a published article contains a factual error, we correct it as soon as we’re aware of it. For minor corrections (typos, formatting), we simply fix the error. For anything that changes the substance of a story — a wrong figure, a misattributed quote, a company name error — we add a visible correction note to the article stating what changed and when.
