Buildfirst is the licensed building company which manufactures Podfirst Pods and offers a full design and construct service with its design arm Arkifirst.
Following Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) principles with completely finished internal fixtures and finishes the Pod is a factory finished permanent formwork system of reinforced concrete. Cyclone rated the Pods won’t rust, rot or be eaten by termites. Unlike timber and steel constructions there is minimal ongoing maintenance expense and a substantially reduced whole of life cost. The durable nature of the concrete filled Ritek XLwall systems creates a Pod completly recyclable by means of relocation and re-use after 10, 20 even 30 years or more.
The Pods are delivered ‘connection ready’, are BCA compliant, can be fully customised and are available in any size, configuration or architectural finish. The walls provide structural support and the Pods can be stacked for multi-level applications.
Patented in Australia and overseas the Pod requires very little ground preparation as foundations and slabs are not required and the Pods do not need to be tied down.
