Ultrasonic sensor
Jessica Darnbrough
SICK has launched an ultrasonic sensor with a scanning distance of 20 to 250 or 50 to 350 mm.

As a result of its physical operating principle and metal housing, the sensor is suitable for use where dust, dirt or coloured vapours are present.
The device can detect transparent objects or liquids and includes positioning tasks, checking presence, monitoring heights and distances for collision prevention, and other object detection applications.
