Automation IT will focus on alarm management with Matrikons Alarm Manager on Stand 1066 at QME 2008.
The Matrikon Alarm Managers Advanced Analysis system has thin client architecture and web-based alarm and event analysis capabilities for automating a significant portion of alarm and event work practices.
It is designed for use by sophisticated alarm management users, large sites with few engineers or technicians to manage their alarm systems and/or sites running dangerous or mission-critical processes.
According to the company, the Advanced Analysis system provides an operational advantage by automating management benchmark reports to compare site performance against Engineering Equipment and Material Users Association (EEMUA) and Instrument Society of America (ISA) guidelines, comparing operator performance between shifts and identifying operator response times to critical alarms, identifying redundant alarm configuration through symptomatic diagnostics, identifying analog dead band and digital delay issues with chattering alarm analysis and identifying areas or equipment with the greatest alarm and operator-action related issues with enterprise or plant-wide visualisation.
Automation ITs mining industry experience also includes dragline control systems, longwall systems, mine process water systems and telemetry, and change manage systems for both surface and underground mine sites.
