Resistance is useful, wear practical

Frank Noakes

The K-CERAMATT rubber backed ceramic mat combines the resilience of rubber and the wear resistance of ceramic in a 500mm square.

Available from Kinder & Co, the product comes in 3mm, 5mm and 10mm-thick 92% alumina oxide tiles and is a suitable lining to protect against high wear caused by abrasion.

The rubber backing can be adhered by conventional cold bonding to pipes, cyclones, vibratory feeder pans and chutes.

Also available from Kinder are K-Ceramax Ceramic wear plates for high abrasive applications that have the resilience of rubber and the wear resistance of ceramic.

The steel backed panels are 30mm thick and incorporate a wear resistant surface of cylindrical alumina ceramic rods bound within a resilient rubber marix.

The ceramic provides good resistance to wear, while the rubber dampens impact.
