New Alcoa managing director

ALCOA of Australia has appointed Alan Cransberg managing director, effective 1 February 2008.

The appointment follows Wayne Osborn’s retirement from the role of managing director.

Osborn has been with Alcoa for 28 years, and managing director since 2001.

Cransberg began his career at Alcoa in 1980 and has spent the last seven years with Alcoa in the United States.

He has held senior roles in Australia and US operations, and at the global level, including his current role as the company’s vice president.
