Interworld Electronics has released the ACS-2701 water-proof IP-65 embedded controller, a small sized fully sealed computer system designed for extreme environmental conditions.

According to Interworld, the ACS-2701 can be subjected to hose down conditions making it well suited for operation in environments where dirt and water is a concern such as mine sites. 

Key environmental operating conditions include: wide temperature -20 to 60 C operating range; 17-640Hz; 1.5G acceleration peak-to-peak vibration and 1G peak acceleration shock.

The ACS-2701 is a fanless box PCs based on the Intel 910GMLE + ICH6M chipset with support for Intel ULV Celeron processors.

Other features of the ACS-2701 include IP-65 connectors for 1x LAN port; 1x USB 2.0 port; 1x RS-232 COM and VGA graphics port.

Space is also provided for an internal 2.5 inch hard drive, Interworld said.
