Cove Engineering will display the Smart Frame conveyor idler changing system on Stand B1031 at AIMEX 2007. This patented system allows individual conveyor idlers to be safely manipulated and removed from a designated walkway, without physically entering the “active” conveyor zone. This is achieved via an automatic disengagement/engagement process, while remaining idlers support the belt. The Smart Frame system suits new and existing conveyor systems; in both carry and return applications. The need to lift the belt to access an idler is eliminated as is the possibility of injury or plant damage from falling idlers.
