Simtars will demonstrate its gas monitoring system for underground coal mines on Stand B1106 at AMIEX 2007. The company’s gas monitoring system shows trends in underground mine atmospheres, providing a tool for the early detection of spontaneous combustion and the prevention of fires and explosions. Principal occupational hygienist and manager of the Safety Training Centre Gerard Tiernan will advise on the company’s range of specialist mine safety related training and occupational hygiene services.
