Backplane Systems has launched a slim, fanless, waterproof system base on iBase’s ECX800E-D16 single board computer.
The ERS800-D16 features a solid aluminium construction.
It is a fanless system with an IP67 standard waterproof rating, which means that it is protected against the effects of total water immersion of up to 1m within 30 minutes.
The system mainboard is the ECX800E-D16 which has an onboard L2400 Intel Core 2 Duo Processor with a speed of 1.66 GHz.
It also supports up to 2Gb of DDR2 SODIMM Memory, and 4GB of Compact Flash solid state storage.
The rear-panel external I/O (via external cable) includes 1 x VGA, 2 x USB ports and 1 x Gigabit LAN.
The chassis dimensions are very slim and compact at only 200mm(W) x 67mm(H) x 273mm(D) and the system has an operating temperature of 0°C~ 45°C with a storage temperature range of -20° ~ 80°C making it versatile enough to suit most applications where space is limited.
