FMC Technologies will be displaying the new FMC 2000 Series conveyor idler rolls, which exceed CEMA load ratings, on Stand 2020 at AIMEX 2007.
The new rolls feature pressed heads, eliminating distortion. Machined bearing seats, and the placement of the bearing close to the shaft supports, provides very low bearing misalignment.
Excellent protection against the ingress of contaminants is provided by the combination of an outer quad-gap horizontal labyrinth member and a dual-lip nitrile rubber shaft contact seal. HDPE sleeves and epoxy paint are available as options, to provide additional protection in the acidic conditions encountered in copper mining.
