Advantech has announced the release of its wireless series modules aimed at embedded board or system level applications.

According to Advantech, the wireless solutions provide easy to use Plug & Play USB dongles, versatile cards with Mini-PCI, Full/Half size Mini-PCIe, SDIO, COM, and USB interfaces.

The wireless solutions are designed to ensure that the user can integrate modules and transmission data into existing backend management systems, or develop their own Application Programming Interface based on the SUSI wireless SDK.

Advantech’s SUSI Wireless Utility software is a flexible interface, with functions to customize vertical applications in Windows XP and Windows CE environments.

The SUSI Wireless Utility uses a GUI to start wireless data processing, as well as GPS NMEA protocols and automation data processing for external devices which will be automatically detected, shown and transmitted to any computer with an IP address.

Advantech wireless solutions are certificated with FCC, and CE and are compatible with both x86 and RISC platforms and are certified to operate in harsh environments and wide temperature ranges to meet industrial grade requirements.
